NEXGEN PROP FIRM

NexGen ProTrader Funding – Overview & Platform

Nexgen ProTrader Funding is a funding program designed for futures traders who want a
transparent, rules-based path from evaluation to funded live trading. Unlike many
prop-firms that rely on hidden restrictions or inconsistent risk models,
Nexgen uses a single unified rulebook across all stages — Evaluation, Sim/Live, and
ProTrader Live accounts.

Their approach focuses on simplicity: clear profit targets, fixed contract-size limits,
well-defined trailing drawdown, and strict timing rules around news and market close.
This creates a consistent environment where disciplined traders can scale without worrying
about hidden rules or changing risk models.

Nexgen supports trading on TradingView and CQG Desktop,
offering reliable access, fast execution, and broad device compatibility. They also offer
optional proprietary indicators, though these are not required for evaluation or funded trading.

Below you will find simplified tables covering Evaluation Rules, Funded Rules, Drawdown Logic,
and the Withdrawal System used across the entire Nexgen funding pipeline.

Funded (Sim/Live & ProTrader Live) Rules

Rule Description
Same rules as evaluation All Nexgen accounts (Evaluation, Sim/Live, ProTrader Live) follow the same core rules:
max trailing drawdown, max contracts, news & time restrictions, no overnight, etc.
Onboarding After passing evaluation you must provide valid ID, proof of address, sign the Trader
Contract, and pay a one-time activation fee (varies by account size).
Max contracts You cannot exceed the max allowed contracts for your account (same limits as evaluation:
5 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 17). System checks worst-case exposure including stops & targets.
Trailing drawdown Max loss is based on closed-trade equity minus the account’s max drawdown. In funded
accounts the drawdown stops trailing once the buffer level is reached (buffer = start
balance + max drawdown + $100).
No overnight positions You must not hold positions past 5 minutes before market close. Holding overnight or
trading into the close can terminate the account.
No high-frequency trading Average trade duration must be > 15 seconds. A few fast trades can happen, but if your
overall average is 15s or less, it’s considered HFT and will disqualify the account.
News restrictions No trading from 1 minute before to 1 minute after red-flag events (NFP, CPI, crude oil /
gas inventories, FOMC, certain bond auctions). Also no new trades within 5 minutes of
market close.
One trader, one email You may only register one email. You cannot let someone else trade your account. Hedging
by going long in one Nexgen account and short in another at the same time results in a
permanent ban.
Disqualification Reaching the drawdown limit, violating news/close rules, HFT, overnight, or hedging
violates terms and requires reset or permanent removal.

Drawdown & Withdrawals

Topic Rule / Details
Max drawdown (per account) Evaluation & funded accounts use the same max drawdown per size:
25k: $1,750  |
50k: $2,250  |
75k: $2,750  |
100k: $3,300  |
150k: $4,800.
How drawdown is calculated Based on closed-trade equity only. Max loss level =
closed-trade equity minus the account’s max drawdown.
Drawdown lock / buffer On Semi-Live & ProTrader Live, drawdown stops trailing once equity reaches the buffer
(Start Balance + Max Drawdown + $100). Example “Drawdown lock” balances:
25k → lock at $28,600
50k → lock at $54,600
75k → lock at $80,600
100k → lock at $106,700
150k → lock at $159,700.
“Withdraw above” level You can withdraw only from profits above the account buffer. Reference buffer levels:
25k: $26,850  |
50k: $52,350  |
75k: $77,850  |
100k: $103,400  |
150k: $154,900.
Minimum payout Minimum withdrawal request is $500.
Equity above buffer required You must have at least $600 above the buffer to request a payout.
Payout frequency Payouts are available every 8 trading days (not calendar days).
Probation period First 60 trading days on Semi-Live: withdrawals are capped by account size
and calculated on profits above buffer + $100. All withdrawals during this window count toward
your 16 total payouts.
Profit split After 60 trading days and before the 16th payout: you can withdraw 90% of profits
above buffer + $100 every 8 trading days. Once you reach the 16th payout, Nexgen may move
you to a real live brokerage account where you receive 100% of profits.
Profit consistency rule In any 8-day payout cycle, no more than 30% of total profit may come from a single
day. If one day exceeds 30%, no payout is processed until further trading reduces that day’s
share to 30% or less.
